Conducted by Isaac Van Grove, the 1944 studio cast recording of The Desert Song featured the vocal talents of Kitty Carlisle, Wilbur Evans, Felix Knight, Vicki Vola and the Jeffry Alexander Chorus. The 10″ LP contained ten selections from the score. In 2002, Decca released the recording on CD, paired with a 1953 studio recording of New Moon.
