We partnered with MacKenzie Smith of Grilled Cheese Social to create a festive apple butter board! Make this delicious treat to enjoy during your next viewing of The Sound of Music.
“Crisp Apple Strudel” Apple Butter Board
Ingredients Needed:
Apple butter
Granola
Chopped apple
Rosemary
Graham crackers (ponies are recommended!)
Gingerbread men and flower cookies
Gruyere cheese
Icing
1. To start, add apple butter to the center of your cutting board and spread it into a circle.
2. Sprinkle some “crisp apple strudel” (granola!) and fresh chopped apples over the apple butter. Pro Tip: Toss apples in lemon juice to avoid browning.
3. Pan fry rosemary leaves in olive oil and pat dry. Then, sprinkle on top.
4. Now it’s time to add your dippers! Add “cream-colored ponies” (graham crackers) and festive gingerbread men.
5. Fill in your platter with some sliced gruyere cheese.
6. Finally, add some “Edelweiss” flower cookies and fresh rosemary for garnish, then drizzle some icing over the apple butter. Enjoy!
