Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Carousel premiered on Broadway 80 years ago at the Majestic Theatre, where it ran for 890 performances. Rodgers & Hammerstein’s second collaboration was instantly recognized as an American classic. The groundbreaking production introduced many unforgettable standards that we still love today, including “If I Loved You” and “You’ll Never Walk Alone.”
