Playbill reports:
Daniel Fish’s reimagined revival of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Oklahoma! officially opens its West End transfer at Wyndham’s Theatre February 28, after beginning previews February 16. The run will continue through September 2.
The production comes to the West End after making its U.K. premiere at London’s Young Vic last year. Offering a stark and contemporary reimagining of the Golden Age classic and featuring new arrangements and orchestrations by Daniel Kluger, Fish’s revival originated at Bard SummerScape before playing an Off-Broadway run at St. Ann’s Warehouse that transferred to Broadway in 2019, winning the 2019 Tony for Best Revival of a Musical.
Once Broadway alum Arthur Darvill and Anoushka Lucas lead the company as Curly McLain and Laurey Williams, respectively, sharing the stage with Patrick Vaill, continuing with the production as Jud Fry, the role he’s played since the revival’s first staging; Georgina Onuorah as Ado Annie; Broadway alum Liza Sadovy as Aunt Eller; James Patrick Davis as Will Parker; Phillip Olagoke as Cord Elam; Stavros Demetraki as Ali Hakim; Raphael Bushay as Mike; Greg Hicks as Andrew Carnes; Rebekah Hinds as Gertie Cummings; and Marie-Astrid Mence as Lead Dancer.
