The King and I waltzed back to the West End in triumph last night,” reported The Daily Mirror, while The Daily Express hailed it simply as an “unstoppable smash.” The UK return of The King and I reported an astounding £8 million in advanced ticket sales, and continued performances through January 5, 2002.
