THE GRAND FINALE

On June 4, 1964, the cast filmed the final scene of the movie – their escape over the Austrian mountains. This was filmed in Ahornbüchsenkopf, Bavaria, on the same day the famous opening scene of the film was shot. Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer are featured here with Director Robert Wise between takes.
