1953 Studio Cast Recording

Under the musical direction of conductor Lehman Engel, a studio cast led by Jack Cassidy and Portia Nelson created this recording of songs from The Boys from Syracuse on June 4, 5 and 8, 1953, at Columbia’s Thirtieth Street Studio in New York City. An initial version of the recording, containing highlights from the recording session, was released in February of 1954; the complete album became available in 1956.
